In the wake of the assassination of Charlie Kirk and the brutal murder of Iryna Zarutska, I believe it is fair to say that the country is in a state of shock.
I have read so many posts from tearful people no longer able to sleep because of what happened, even though they knew neither victim. And I have seen a political revolution begin, no longer accepting political narratives because the public is awakening to the realization that their politicians no longer represent or serve them.
Likewise there is an exposure of massive number of mentally unhinged people expressing glee over the death of a man whose only crime was debating people opposed to him. He did this in a calm and polite manner, exercising what is one of our fundamental rights, free speech and the expression of dialog, a massive part of how this country was founded.
In short, he was assassinated for talking. This is where the country has devolved to. We can no longer talk.
We see this across the planet. In England, expressing patriotic solidarity is now an arrestable offense because it offends the Muslims living there. In Canada, it’s not dissimilar. But they do not have a Bill of Rights. We do.
Worse. At this time with the arrest of the young man reportedly responsible, we see a new pattern of radicalization at college, and, in part from the ability to exchange information on Discord, a social media platform. Both elements are disturbing.
College was supposed to be a bastion of knowledge and training, not the blatant leftist progressive indoctrination center it has become. Between the massive push to normalize trans people, placing them in varying positions of power, and prohibiting the free expression and criticisms that made our universities worthwhile in the past, we are now faced with an endless barrage of controversial influences that serve no purpose but to radicalize impressionable minds.
The reported shooter, from a conservative family with a father in law enforcement who ultimately turned him in, shows the progression from normal to abnormal once he entered the collegiate system.
In my own family I have seen that, with reports coming home about teachers and lessons that are neither appropriate nor valid, given the obscene college costs. Luckily, my children are able to discern this and reject it. But so many are not so fortunate.
Add to this the liberal domination of media, entertainment and university, all these impressionable young people experience is through a lens of accommodating what can only be described as an extreme minority. It is the endless publicity and pandering to progressive political correctness that has every television commercial featuring an interracial family, or more accurately a tri-racial family with one black, one white and one latino or Asian. Statistically this does not represent racial America at all. Blacks are still around 16% of the population. And as for the trans community, less than 1 percent. So why is everything projected on a 50-50 basis? It is an abject lie forced down our throats.
As for facts, the Democratic Party has used lies throughout in order to push agenda, all the while blaming the conservatives. That said, when an audit is done, it proves the lie. All the jobs of the last four years? False. Inflation? Higher than reported. Covid vaccines? This virus, that virus… an endless barrage of lies that affects those watching television, films. At Disneyland a Snow White with a mustache. This is not normal. It is not about acceptance. It is about definition. A man has an XY chromosome and a woman an XX.
All this is to say the country is in crisis. I believe it is on purpose. It debases everything that made us strong and will result in the end to destroy our country because the polarization is so extreme that there can be no reconciliation; there is no middle ground left.
I came to America in 1980. A foreign student (British). I followed everything. I saw that Democrats and Republicans could disagree and be friends, enjoy a golf game, dinner, or a beer. When one lost an election, while they were unhappy, the attitude was that they had to support the duly elected president. That was the foundation of the country, the system that made us strong. Four years later, you had another shot. The media reported facts. It was not slanted to slam the administration. They served the viewers with standards to ensure that the information was correct.
So what happened?
Lies happened. Legal restrictions on the media to not use propaganda against citizens was removed by one president. And then we began to get barraged by events, attacks, each requiring the erosion of yet other rights. For our own protection. Get the Covid vaccine to protect yourself and others. You won’t get Covid with the vaccine. A president on television promised this.
Lies is what happened. It polarized both sides.
Worse, ignorance happened. Education levels fell despite ever increasing money thrown at it. When things get complicated, people do not want to spend the time having to decipher it. Trust the experts. Much easier. Until you find the experts also lie.
The divide worsened under Trump. Not because he was divisive, but because he called out the system for what it was. Like him or not, you can watch 20 years of Trump on YouTube interviews saying the same thing. America first. What is wrong with that?
I have found that anyone that hates Trump can only repeat the same lines the media fed them. He’s a crook. A con-man. A Nazi. Racist, Sexist. Rapist. When I ask for a specific example, no one has one. He filed for bankruptcy several times. That’s called business in America. Even Trump said, if you don’t like it change the laws.
The point is that they have zero intelligent thought or explanation why he is what they claim. The same has been said about Charlie Kirk, a man who sat through hours of verbal assault so he could explain his point of view across campuses. Charlie sat patiently, allowing them to speak until they could no longer speak. How evil was that?
And so one deranged, radicalized student decided to end his life. And I ask again. Is this America?
I became a citizen because essentially I grew up in America. I passed through the process. I did not run across the border, garner a cell phone and a credit card, free healthcare and more. I had to prove I would not be a burden to the country. I had to prove that I knew American history, that I understood the sacrifice that had been made for the citizens of America.
At my swearing in ceremony I wore a suit and tie. Obama was president. Next to me were two Nigerian women decked out elegantly in traditional garb looking very regal and also very proud to be sworn in. Ahead of me some guy wearing wrinkled shorts, a beach shirt and flipflops. America. Land of diversity.
You receive several things after the presiding judge shakes your hand and welcomes you. You get a Certificate of Naturalization with gold trim. You feel it is a statement of value. And you get an envelope with a pocket Constitution and Bill of Rights. You also get a brown manilla envelope with the bold words: A Message from the President of the United States written across it.
My envelope was empty.
I am proud to be an American. This land holds promise if only the people would wake up and listen to the words of the founding fathers. It is a Constitutional Republic (not a Democracy) and that requires informed citizenry to keep the government in check. We are the guardians of our country, not the weasels who work there making multimillion-dollar side deals, beholden to big Pharma and other corporate entities that bought their entry into governance.
You see, that is our problem. Too many are uninformed. They watch The View, but do not know anything about who runs the country. They pick a party like they pick a dress or slacks, based on the appearance and not the substance. In my opinion these people do not deserve the right to vote.
On the opposing side, we have members of Congress who also lack basic intelligence, some who have no idea what the Constitution of the United States actually says. They managed to con voters to get in. They are also a danger to our Republic because they want to tear it down.
Like so many this week, I am angry at the senseless loss of life for no valid reason. Unlike so many I do not happily accept what I am told.
I find fault with the Democrats. I find fault with the useless Republicans now in office. I find fault with Trump, despite the fact that he is the only one since Reagan and Kennedy to want to make a difference. But he is just a man, and not a young one at that. But without him, I know where we would be. Had he lost the election, America would be done. I have no doubt. Just as I have no illusion that we have an election in 2026 and 2028 both of which will decide the fate of this country for the foreseeable future.
I have seen many Democrats realize that their party is unsustainable, and many who consider the party totally lost. I just hope that after this week, even more will be waking up.
Charlie Kirk and Iryna Zarutska represent two different sides. He wanted to get young people talking in active debate. She escaped Ukraine, believing she could be safe in the United States. How sad it is that both met their ends in a senseless and violent way, not different from the assassin who tried to end Trump’s life in Butler, Pennsylvania. America, where you will die if you have the courage to ask the right questions.
I ask again: Is this what we are? Like so many of you, I am unbelievably saddened by these events and the state of the country. And still the media peddles its lies.
So how do we solve this? It is my belief as an American that the left and right are too divided to solve anything. We started as 13 colonies. Nowhere is it written that we need 50 states under the pretend banner of being united. We are not united at all. And that hurts us all because nothing of value gets done.
I propose we divide the country somehow, allow the left and the right to have their own countries free of each other. Historically, it has happened before, most recently in India and Pakistan. We have seen the breakup of the Soviet Union into Russia and satellite states. It can be done. Sure, there will be turmoil, but the rule will be that if you are a Democrat in a Republican state, you are a guest and nothing more. And vice versa.
I also propose that any partisan institutions, whether media, universities, or others, are prohibited without equal time or platform.
We must do something. If we do not I believe, not unlike the Rome of old, that our empire will fall and our lives will ultimately be much worse under some other rule.
God bless America. May she awaken with insight and resolve.
